Overview
We’re looking for an efficient Accounts Assistant to join a busy, motivated, highly successful and growing business here in Pirbright, Surrey. Department: Finance Reporting to: Finance Manager Work Schedule : 8.30am - 5.00pm - Full Time The employee's duties may from time to time be reasonably modified as necessary to meet the needs of the employer's business. Responsibilities and duties (Specific): Sales Raising/posting all sales invoices to Sage 50 Accounts Credit control, issuing reminders, liaising with clients Purchases Match vendor invoices to existing purchase orders in Clik Accurately code and process purchase invoices Process employee expenses Assist in the payment processing runs Balance Sheet Reconcile/post credit card transaction with receipts. Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Daily bank reconciliations (first thing every morning) VAT submissions Ad hoc reporting Ad hoc duties to support the Finance Manager Prepare payment run for the Finance Manager Responsibilities and duties (General) To work with other support staff to achieve high standard of work and service. Experienced individual who has worked within the accounts/invoicing environment in a similar "service driven" industry (preferred but not essential) Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications: Proficient in the use of Sage 50 Accounts Ideally be studying towards an accounting qualification Experience of processing CIS invoices is desirable Must have good excel skills (Pivot tables, V-Lookups) Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail Analytical thinking Ability to work alone Problem solving Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
