Overview
We are currently recruiting for Quality Assurance Inspectors for our client, one the UK's largest suppliers of fresh produce, based in Birmingham, Aston. Your main duties as a quality assurance inspector will be to allocate the companies clients stock to production and distribution supervisors. Also ensuring that all stock is appropriately identified and stored and used in the correct order. Your main duties within the quality assurance inspector department would include; Identifying and allocating stock to be used on a day to day basis by production shifts and ensuring that all stock is appropriately labelled with stock codes. Carry out quality checks on all incoming produce; identify produce as QCPASSED, REJECT or HOLD QC. Prioritise Quality reports based on organaleptic testing and senior management request. Collect any samples of mango, avocado and paw for trials. Keeping your managers informed of underlying or possible problems relating to produce. Conducting internal audit and checking of systems as required. sending damaged or extra products back to production area or reject bay on authorisation of Working within this area of work, you're require to have a lot of experience and personal requirements such as; Being able to Seek clarification when unsure Maintain urgency and meet deadlines Bring quality problems to attention of supervisors Remain impartial Share resource and co-operate Remember to maintain Customer Service thoroughly With this role, training is provided such as: On the job product/system/machine/layout Basic food hygiene Basic health & safety Manual handling skills Machine set up This role is any 5 out of 7 days,either 6am-2pm or 2pm-10 pm with the opportunity to progress the pay rate will increase.
