About BatFast Batfast designs and develops cricket simulators for both entertainment and training purposes. It has developed the world’s first portable outdoor cricket simulator which it launched in summer 2016. The product has gathered great interest from both local and international markets allowing BatFast to expand its core research and development team. The BatFast engineering team is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Python Developer to part-take in research and development activities within the cricket simulator and other sports technologies. Job Details Working with a fast paced team to develop cutting edge sport technologies with the latest software architectures. Refine existing sports simulator software and address bugs and UI/UX issues. Work with a contractor to develop the next generation UI/UX interface. Work with the simulator team to develop the next generation in the family of sports simulators. The role will be a mixture of hands-on development and providing leadership, mentoring and assistance the software team. Part-take in Design, test and build of various hardware and software projects using Agile methodologies mainly focusing on back-end and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate: Strong Software Development background Strong Development experience with Python Team Player Strong communication Understanding of cloud architectures Maintain and improve existing software (Python, HTML, Ajax, Jquery, Flask, Pygame, Pi3D) Maintain/Create Django/Flask based web-applications deployed on Amazon AWS using docker containers and continuous integration methodologies Provide remote software support to international clients Collaborate with other system/software developers Manage software repositories and deployment/update schedules Generate technical reports for internal dissemination Develop cloud-based and local databases using PostgreSQL/SQL Deploy a cloud-based infrastructure using AWS/Google Cloud Record and interpret test results API Creation and RESTful services Exposure to AI and ML techniques using TensorFlow Exposure to vision processing using TensorFlow Benefits 25 Days Holiday Childcare Vouchers Competitive Pension Scheme Regular Team Social Events Great start-up environment Performance based bonus
