Overview
An incredible opportunity working for a well known and respected charity has become available in Huntingdon. As the first port of contact for event and activity request, you will be a fundamental member of the charity in visiting schools and generating prospects to fundraise and promote the charity's cause. Your main focus will be within schools, so previous experience in sales or fundraising within schools would be highly advantageous. By building and developing relationships, you will be a trusted charity member in supporting community events and activities throughout the fundraising process, from initial interest, throughout the event and then afterwards in providing information on the success to maximise income. You will need to closely monitor income and expenditure of community and event fundraising, tracking the progress and report on actual or forecast variants against budgets. Ultimately, you will be required to be proactive and efficient with all administrative tasks associated with the community events. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong background in community fundraising and proven success in raising income within the community within various kinds of events. Experience working closely alongside communications and marketing teams to promote events is also crucial. Due to the nature of the role, you will not be limited to working office hours, so some weekends and bank holiday work may be required. This position is for 20 hours a week.
