Overview
Do you have strong knowledge and experience of Windows 10 OS troubleshooting, Microsoft Sharepoint and Onedrive as data repositories, Microsoft Office knowledge, Microsoft Office 365 and active Directory experience If you do, then our client, a technology company based in Surbiton in Surrey is looking for you as the are on a drive to bring their IT services to the next level The main duties of the Infrastructure Support Engineer would be to: Provide 1st/ 2nd line desktop, network, telephone and server, business application support. Commit to department efforts around continuous improvement. Monthly patch management (Workstations and Servers) Accurately log all support calls in the appropriate Helpdesk tracking system (Currently SysAid) Ensure Change / Problem / Incident Management procedures are followed. Manage weekly vulnerability scanning processes and action recommendations where required. Ongoing server capacity management. Support remote access workers (RDS / Sonicwall remote VPN) Handle network and voice moves and changes including network patching and reprogramming of telephone system and also, assisting with the day to day management of external vendors for data, landlines and mobile cellular devices. Configuring and maintaining equipment including PCs, MAC OS, laptops, printers, tablets, Iphones etc. Assist the Data Technology Manager with 3rd level server, network infrastructure tasks as required. Work on projects focused on co-ordinating system upgrades, helping identify ways to improve current systems and processes, and testing and evaluating new technologies. Help to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) of Group systems and information assets. Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audit checks as outlined in the SharePoint database. Assist with ongoing management of ISO27001:2013 including internal audits. Provide out of hours support when necessary Main requirements for this role include : Strong Windows 10 OS troubleshooting ability Strong Microsoft Office knowledge including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Administrator knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Create users and groups) Good knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive as data repositories Good knowledge of Active Directory (Creating users and security groups, GPO) Basic administration of Windows Servers 2012 R2 / 2016 Microsoft Remote Desktop administration (Home workers) Awareness of Cyber security threats - Trends Basic TCP/IP Networking knowledge (Test connectitivity between devices) Landline (IP telephony) and mobile phone support Audio/Visual support (Meeting room video conferences) Printer support and administration (Including working with 3rd party MSP) Salary - £25,000 to £30,000 per annum. Holiday entitlement 20 days plus 8 bank holidays Annual Business closure during Christmas? The successful candidate will be required to work six Saturdays per year to Offset Christmas closure days
