Overview

Senior Development Analytical Chemist My client, a pharmaceutical CRO involved in small molecule and API development, is currently seeking the expertise of a Senior Analytical Chemist to join their experienced and rapidly expanding teams within early drug development. The Senior Analytical Chemist within early drug development will join a team of highly motivated scientists within Analytical Development and play a key role in delivering client projects and molecule pipeline. The Senior Analytical Chemist within early drug development will provide a range of analytical method development using techniques such as chromatography HPLC (analytical and preparative), GC and mass spectrometry. The Senior Analytical Chemist within early drug development must be team focused working with all levels within the business. Responsibilities of the Senior Development Analytical Chemist - early drug development • Predominantly a laboratory-based role, you will lead pivotal analytical development projects within early drug development • Deliver theoretical and practical expertise and guidance on a range of analytical techniques, including HPLC/UPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, NMR, FTIR as well as other spectroscopic techniques • Lead the development, optimization and validation of analytical methods • Proactively coach and mentor less experienced colleagues • Continuously critique and evaluate experimental data, • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and participate in instrument qualification as required • Write and review technical documents such as SOPs, protocols and reports To be considered for the Senior Analytical Chemist - Early Drug Development, you'll need the following skills and experience; • A minimum of BSc, PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical science. • Several years of analytical experience, ideally leading in a chemical or pharmaceutical analytical development environment • Confident in method development derived from molecular structure • Substantial experience in techniques such as HPLC, GC, UPLC or Preparative Scale HPLC, NMR, IR • The ability to deliver to deadlines and take a proactive approach to problem solving • Experience of working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams If you believe you hold the relevant background experience and looking for a new role in an exciting company, then this is the role for you.
