Operations Manager Job ref: 62586 | £36,000 - £40,000 bonus & paid overtime | West Sussex The company We are seeking a talented individual to join a high-quality manufacturer which supplies to retailers, caterers and directly to consumers. You will join a high energy, friendly and supportive team, working in a BRC ‘AA’ accredited, state of the art, manufacturing facility. The job This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and forward-thinking business which is dedicated to investing heavily in new equipment and the latest technologies. The role is greatly rewarding where you will play a key role in the business and be centric to their continued success. As Operations Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager in overseeing the manufacturing, storage and distribution of packaged products to a wide range of customers. This is a hugely varied role where you will be responsible for the supply chain, logistics and quality control functions. You will oversee weekly production and storage plans, manage overall stock levels, coordinate product distribution, source and approve new suppliers plus oversee the manufacturing process in the absence of the General Manager. You will also manage the company’s quality assurance programme including adherence to the company Quality Manual and BRC Global Food Safety standard to ensure all health & safety, food safety, legality, integrity, quality and environmental obligations are met. Your experience You will be a well organised and hands-on individual with strong supply chain or logistics management experience within food & beverage manufacturing. A good understanding of food safety/quality standards is required and experience working directly with UK major retailers is an advantage. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent problem-solving and customer service skills plus be IT literate. A driving licence is also required. More details The Operations Manager job is based in West Sussex and is paying £36,000 - £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The role also offers up to 10% bonus and paid overtime (up to c. £5,000 extra per annum). The standards working hours are 8 am – 4 pm, however, flexibility is required to work up to 26 Saturdays per year during peak periods (summer).
