Current Snapshot of IT Activities we are currently and have recently undertaken to give a better idea of what work streams an IT manager would and could get involved in. In line with company culture, work at ERGO tends to be fairly varied and departments work close together. The successful candidate will upon joining have one reporting line and will work closely with one IT project contractor and one innovations advisor Over the last few months we have undertaken an Office 365 Migration Data is being moved to Azure from local storage at the moment Use and adoption of Share Point is underway. Files stored on network drives will soon be moved into Share Point New data warehouse is being set up using SQL. The intention is to make the data warehouse the first point of contact for all data and to use it for all reporting requirements. Transition is currently in process. Intend on introducing Microsoft machine learning server to integrate data and analytics processes Power BI is being tested for reporting, and will be used to send information both internally and externally Off-the-shelf software and bespoke development is being explored for various parts of the value chain. Have recently purchased work smart and work has commenced on automation and artificial intelligence proof of concept projects Exploring apps that can be integrated into the office 365 environment to help integrate, digitise and improve existing processes i.e. IT ticket system, expense submission system and staff holiday booking platform Early stages of adopting information security and data protection policies which will be maintained through Microsoft compliance tool Job Role Overview (Crucial 1-3, Secondary 4-9) 1)IT Operations: Govern IT operations, manage infrastructure and configurations, support service and product delivery to internal and external clients 2)Software control cycle: Responsible for uninterrupted running of all software used in the company and accompanying process and rules on procurement 3)Hardware control cycle: Ownership of all software used in the company and accompanying process and rules on procurement 4)Automation of existing processes – requires system and applications knowledge 5)Improved Integration of existing processes – requires system and applications knowledge 6)Digitisation of existing processes – requires system and applications knowledge 7)Incident & Problem management: Including a ticketing system to collate all technical problems ranging from simple IT to more serious business continuity issues 8)Information Security: Implement and maintain IS policies as directed by compliance and regulatory need 9)Data Protection: Apply data protection policy through IT systems ecosystem in line with compliance requirements Pay & Benefits ·Salary £50,000 to £70,000 depending on skills and experience ·Annual performance related bonus and payment review ·Holiday allowance of 25 days ·Discount on particular insurance products ·Defined contribution pension scheme (2% Individual contribution is matched with 6% company contribution) ·Death in service benefit (4 times Salary) ·Private medical insurance This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89808900
