Established in 1919, the company has manufactured disinfectants and liquid soaps ever since with a pivotal moment in 1950 when the iodine disinfectant Vanodine was developed; a product of which still today is classed as one of the finest within it's field. The family ownership of the company has continued to this day and is key to the culture and stability of the business and why people truly enjoy working there. Due to continued success, the organisation a looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planner, focusing on developing the business planning operation, specifically of raw materials. Managing a global supply base and large volume of SKU's (200), the successful candidate will look to take ownership of the planning process: across production, supply, inventory management and laterally demand/S&OP, to help develop and improve the overall supply chain strategy. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the planning of raw materials to meet short term production requirements (circa. 1-2 weeks), whilst looking longer term to develop to more strategic planning methods Utilise historical detail and forecast data to co-ordinate planning more accurately Maintain stock levels and monitor inventory availability based on customer order requirements and available on-site storage capacity in line with COMAH regulations. Coordinate and review inventory versus production capacity to meet demand of customer orders for the Preston plant Collaborate closely with other internal stakeholders, including but not limited to: supply chain team, production, sales, finance, customer service, despatch, Technical and Research and Development. Support Midterm planning processes and execution Provides evaluation and recommendation on processes and how to continuously improve these To have input into tracking and analysing Key Performance Indicators Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required: Degree level or professional qualification preferably in supply chain Experienced in manufacturing operations, ideally across an FMCG operation. Proven track record of delivering across the following accountability's: production planning, supply planning, capacity planning, inventory management, S&OP, demand planning A working knowledge of supply chain systems and processes within a manufacturing environment PC Literacy with Microsoft Office and intermediate/ advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent understanding of tools and systems that support production scheduling processes Proven ability to manage projects, successfully resolving issues and utilising internal network and relationships to reach solutions Ability to adapt to changes and make operational and commercial decisions in a change environment Strong communication skills both oral and written across different levels within the organisation Broad stakeholder management experience and ability to influence at all levels The company prides itself on creating an inspiring environment for employees, generating an ethos of entrepreneurial spirit and rewarding opportunities.
