Experienced Transport CCTV Support Officer Croydon Full-Time Temporary Contract £12.13 per hour Please note that applicants will not be considered without the following knowledge: Working knowledge of the London Local Authorities Act 1996 (as amended) Traffic Management Act 2004, London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2003, RTA ’91 and regulations for traffic and enforcement operations. VLookup formula knowledge Within this role you will be responsible to the CCTV Operations Manager for assisting in the CCTV Croydon Control Room for the efficient and effective administration of Traffic and Parking camera enforcement duties. You will deal with all enquiries and provide information, assistance and support to registered keepers of vehicles, and manage and maintain permit register for CCTV automated cameras. Duties will include but not be limited to: Producing brief reports using word processing software, dealing with telephone queries, operating a parking enforcement ticketing system, acting as a first point of contact either by telephone, in writing, or in person, and maintaining good relations between registered keepers of vehicles, and other appropriate persons. Candidates should have the following essential skills and knowledge: Working knowledge of the London Local Authorities Act 1996 (as amended) Traffic Management Act 2004, London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2003, RTA ’91 and regulations for traffic and enforcement operations. Computer literate with a working knowledge of word packages & Excel Willing to undertake training and be prepared to learn and familiarise themselves with equipment / procedures in the CCTV control room Ability to communicate effectively in writing, sufficiently to compile reports and prepare witness statements and compile evidence to PATAS adjudicators when required to do so Ability to demonstrate effective verbal communication skills and able to deal with customers in a polite, precise and courteous manner Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of evidence. Ability to analyse and assess situations, producing detailed reports and recommendations, in an accurate and methodical manner. High level of customer services skills Evidence of preparing work, reports and the understanding of the need for confidentiality and security of evidence Experience of adopting new procedures in a similar working environment Experience of analysing and assessing situations as well as producing detailed reports, recommendations and/or evidence Headstart Employment is an Equal Opportunity Employer
