Overview

A rapidly growing FCA regulated financial services organisation operating in the consumer credit and loans sectors are expanding and broadening their service and scale of operations. As part of this growth, we are looking to hire a Compliance Manager to act as part of a dynamic team to deliver a best in class compliant service offering to customers in an FCA regulated environment. Responsibilities: Establish key controls & processes to assess & manage Compliance & AML Overseeing and providing advice to senior management and the business on compliance and risk issues as well as regulatory trends Developing, maintaining, updating and implementing Compliance and Risk policies, procedures, manuals, and programmes to reflect best practice and regulatory and industry requirements Lead the Compliance Function to implement compliant, robust procedures Provide the business with clear guidance on AML processes & controls & implement policy to adhere to requirements Manage SAR & Regulatory requirements To act as a central point of contact for Compliance issues, ensuring that any problems are dealt with appropriately and rectified within agreed SLA's Ensure key requirements are defined to ensure the business requirements for FCA compliance. Manage Compliance Risk within the organisation & work to establish controls. Highlight risks & provide solutions to mitigate challenges were appropriate Knowledge/Experience: Good knowledge of the FCA Money Laundering section of the System and Controls Sourcebook (SYSC), Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) Guidance and other relevant financial crime legislation, including the Bribery Act Ensure the firm's Financial Crime/Money Laundering procedures are kept up to date at all times and staff notified of changes Industry qualifications such as ICA or ACAMS preferable Experience working within Compliance & FCA Regulated industry Knowledge of GDPR and Data protection Experience in managing and growing a team Previous experience as a deputy MLRO or MLRO Extensive understanding of all types of Compliance, including detection systems and processes. Experience of KYC Vendors & best practice Knowledge of PEP/Sanctions Checking and how to interrogate this data effectively Experience of AML reporting & requirements Skills: High levels of integrity Ability to plan and organise time effectively and to work effectively under sometimes extreme time pressures Excellent communication skills Highly developed analytical skills in a Compliance & AML context Attention to detail in both analysing and producing data Ability to identify problems & find appropriate solutions Competencies: Strong Team Player but also able to work on own initiative Highly innovative and forward thinking Experience working in a start-up/fintech is desirable Ability to work at speed with limited supervision Communicate powerfully Strong analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to deal with regulatory bodies and Strategic Partners
