Overview
Machine Operative We are recruiting for a Machine Operator for a position based within an FMCG site in Nelson. As a Machine Operative you will need to: Have previous experience in a manufacturing capacity Have basic engineering and machine setting skills Be a good team worker Live local to the Nelson area Details: Salary - £9.84 per hour The shift pattern for this role will be 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am and be rotating on a weekly basis Location: Nelson Duration: Temp to Perm Role of a Machine Operative: Running and manning machines in a manufacturing capacity Leading the operational activities and providing the necessary training to enable the skill level to be kept to the required level Ensuring the setup and monitoring of the manufacturing process in order to detect any defects or deviations from standards and to ensure adjustments as necessary to rectify faults and minimise waste in the process Liaising with the manager on all matters of production and quality control Constantly challenging existing methods and procedures to achieve right first time production Taking a lead role in continuous improvement Ensuring the equipment and process is capable of delivering the production plan in a timely and efficient manner Achieving maximum production of acceptable quality product at all times Undertaking pre-production inspections and authorising production when satisfied Adhering to health & safety procedures Benefits of working with us as a machine operative: Weekly pay 28 days holidays Pension Scheme Mortgage references Employed Status Permanent Positions available If you are interested in the above role please send us your CV and we will contact successful applicants with interview details.
