Head of Web Analytics Location : Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary : Competitive, DOE Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Abcam is searching for a Head of Web Analytics to deliver insight to help us continually evolve and improve our digital platforms so that we deliver great experiences for our consumers and strong growth for the business. This role will report to the VP Digital Experience and will manage a Web Analyst. About the role Explore customer behavioural data to identify opportunities to improve the user experience and drive growth for Abcam Partner with Product and Marketing teams and use insight to proactively identify commercial opportunities based on a deep understanding of web traffic and omni-channel user behaviour Analyse complex data sets and present findings in a visually compelling manner, with action-oriented recommendations that answer key business questions Support business case creation and modelling Bring a test and learn approach to the business in support of continuous improvement Upskill stakeholders on analytics tools, techniques and best practices to enable them to self-serve; provide analytical guidance and mentoring to other team members, introducing new analytical techniques where appropriate Identify and monitor emerging trends, opportunities and threats across the analytics landscape; understand our customer & digital data architecture; identify valuable new data opportunities and best practices Work with IT teams to prioritise and secure implementation of analytics requirement About You Degree level or higher, preferably in a numerate discipline (e.g. Mathematics) 5 years' experience working as a Digital or Web analyst or similar Expert user of Google Analytics 360 and/or other web analytics tools; experience of tag management preferable Experience with data visualisation tools, preferably Tableau A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large datasets Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A results-oriented, self-motivated individual, with excellent communication skills About Us Ever since 1998, when our founder, Jonathan Milner, started selling antibodies from the back of his bike, Abcam has aimed to help scientific researchers make breakthroughs faster.
