Overview

I'm currently partnered with an early stage drug development biotech based in Cambridge, currently leading the discovery and development of first-in-class small molecule drugs for neurodegenerative diseases, rare mitochondrial diseases and fibrosis. My client are looking for an experienced scientist to lead and expand their current in vivo pharmacology capabilities. Applying in depth knowledge of fibrotic diseases you will be responsible for the delivery of PK/PD studies to support the TA portfolio. Responsibilities Lead and expand in vivo pharmacology capabilities - focusing on pharmacokinetics and fibrosis Be responsible for project license and home office accountabilities Develop In Vivo mechanistic and disease models of fibrosis and neurodegeneration Design and deliver PK/PD studies Analyse and interpret data Support validation of novel therapeutic targets and delivery of new targets into the pipeline Undertake transgenic in vivo work to support mechanism of action studies. Requirements PhD qualified 4 years industry experience Experienced working in cross-functional and matrixed Research and Translational teams Publication track record in the field of fibrosis and/or neurodegeneration Expertise in disease models of ND preferred experience developing pharmacodynamic mechanistic models Collaborate effectively with external stakeholders/partners Team management expertise Personal license holder with experience of project license management ideal This opportunity has understandably been incredibly popular.
