Excellent opportunity to head up your own Building Surveying Division Your new company We're pleased to be working an award winning multi-disciplined consultancy in Cambridge that are looking to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to their growing office. The organisation offers a range of professional services covering; chartered building & quantity surveying, project management, architecture & master planning, civil & structural engineering, mechanical & electrical engineering, sustainability and health & safety. The small yet expanding team value innovative ways of working and are always looking for fresh ideas to expand their client base. Your new role As the Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for implementing strategy and targeting new business across Cambridge and build the team up from scratch. Work will consist of the usual instructions such as dilapidation's, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, party wall, defect diagnosis and planned preventative maintenance. However your position within the firm will include more of a strategic effort to win work from the historic Cambridge colleges and commercial business and build your own team to expand the business. What you'll need to succeed As the Building Surveyor you may be at any stage in your career though will be degree educated (or equivalent) and will be RICS qualified. You will be passionate about construction and come from either a; Building Surveying or Project Management background. You'll be able demonstrate experience of working in commercial and ideally have experience within the educational sector ideally have at least two years' experience of Party Wall Matters and have knowledge of Building Control regulations.
