· Buyer · National Company · Full-Time · Permanent My client are a highly regarded business with interests across a wide range of food and agricultural businesses. The company manufactures and supplies premium quality products to United Kingdom retailers, food service and industrial markets. A brand new opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join the fast-paced, growing business. Reporting into the Purchasing Manager in a busy food processing business, our ideal candidate will have proven food industry experience in a similar role. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail and extensive excel experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Day to day purchasing of ingredients and packing. · Managing raw material supplies. · Updating data management systems with trend analysis. · Assisting with new product costings. · Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers. · Liaising with suppliers daily with regards to process, deliveries, quality and technical feedback. · Arrange sample deliveries for NPD team. · Holiday cover for the wider team. IDEAL CANDIDATE · Excellent organisational skills. · Good literacy and numeracy skills. · Extensive excel experience. · Impeccable attention to detail. · Full clean driving licence. · Previous food industry experience desirable.
