Overview
My client is a manufacturer of products that use sheet metals. They seek an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join them ASAP. You will report to the Operations Manager and will maintain all in house plant and facilities. Carry our both planned and reactive maintenance across site, production and supporting equipment Work closely with production teams to fault find within production processes Work with other departments to improve efficiency of production equipment Ensure the continued and efficient running of production lines and all associated equipment You will need: To have 5 years of similar experience Be happy to learn and develop your skills and knowledge Have a strong personality and excellent communication skills Be competent in electrical and mechanical maintenance Experience of fault finding across a variety of machinery including pneumatics and hydraulics Basic electrical experience referred but not essential A recognised engineering apprenticeship or qualification essential (HNC / HND, BTEC / NVQ) To be able to work to meet deadlines Be proactive and suggest process improvements Willing to complete overtime when required A good work ethic and the desire to complete the job in hand to a high standard Ability to read drawings and use measuring equipment On offer: 08:00 to 16:20 Monday to Friday Weekday overtime paid at 1.3x hourly rate Saturday overtime paid at 1.5k hourly rate Basic salary £25k to £30k Career development and stability within a progressive, professional environment.
