Job Profile for NPI & Design Engineer - TP141311 Mechanical Design and New Product Introduction Engineer required. Our client are a specialist automotive manufacturer based near Gravesend. They are looking to recruit either a Mechanical Design Engineer with NPI experience for their ever growing team. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long term career in the automotive industry. Reporting to a senior member of the engineering team the successful applicant will support the engineering team directly with NPI activities and other areas of the business with Mechanical Design and project execution including creating Bill of Materials and Prototyping. Other responsibilities will include; Creation and development of detailed technical drawings using Solidworks and Catia. Coordinating new products into the production process Managing data, such as drawings and parts, in a PDM system Developing improvements to existing catalogue parts Reverse engineering of old parts in order for reproduction. Liaise with, and project-manage, suppliers involved in external manufacturing and prototyping NPI & Design Engineer Position Requirements Proficiency with using Solidworks and /or Catia to create original drawings and designs Experience with NPI processes Proficiency to read and interpret complex technical engineering drawings Previous design experience within a metal fabrication / machining industry advantageous A BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering Exposure to the Motorsport industry advantageous NPI & Design Engineer Position Remuneration £22,000 - £27,000 - Dependent upon experience 08:30 - 17:00, Monday - Thursday, Friday 08:30 - 13:30 Flex-Time Available 28 Days Holiday including Bank Holidays Company Pension Death in Service We, Bennett and Game Recruitment, a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
