Machine Laser Operator Superb career opportunity with a leading specialist steel stockholder Attractive Salary Bonus Benefits Dalton, North Yorkshire Ref:LH0314 Part of an international group, National Tube Stockholders (NTS) is a leading specialist steel stockholder who has built a strong reputation within the UK steel industry through organic growth and strategic acquisition. At this exciting stage in their development, this long established and highly profitable business has recently made a major investment in two state of the art laser tube profiling machines. The machines are due for delivery later this year and an opportunity now exists for a Machine Operator to operate the machinery used to cut / profile steel tubes & sections to the required quality standards. You will also be involved in Overhead Crane and Forklift operations and other duties related to a significant warehousing and distribution operation engaged in the movement of heavy items. As this is a start-up operation you will be one of the first appointments to the team and as the operation grows will also be involved in training and mentoring future recruits. Ideally the company is looking for people with experience of this type of machinery in the steel sector, however, if coming from other machining operations training will be given. With a good standard of education it would be beneficial if you were IT literate and had a good understanding of technical engineering drawings. Coming from a continuous improvement production environment would also be beneficial.
