Support Workers and Practitioners Location: Auchtermuchty, Fife. Salary: Support Worker GBP 9 & Practitioner GBP 9.19 to 9.53 per hour (placement will be on the first point within the scale). If you love helping people, then we have the perfect role for you We are currently recruiting for a support worker and practitioner to join our team in Auchtermuchty, Fife. The successful applicant will love helping and supporting others to achieve their own outcomes and to live their best life possible. Working within a team you will provide support directly to adults, encouraging expression through music and art, to stay active through walking, swimming as well as other available activities within the local community. We are looking for individuals who are nurturing, resilient, enthusiastic, reflective, adaptable and have a genuine passion for the work we deliver within Sense Scotland. Accessing community resources and engaging with the local community is a key part of the support the team provides. Each person has their own person-centred support plan, tailored to them and includes activities in the local and wider community. No two days are the same making for an exciting place to work. The role of Practitioner could be the post for you if • You hold an SVQ3 in health and social care • Skilled in record-keeping, including recording incidents and complaints and maintaining records • You set and demonstrate good standards of work practice, by offering support, supervision and on shift training through example • You will be confident in your ability to guide qualified and unqualified staff, students or volunteers • You can deal with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner • You are comfortable and confident in using a computer and are IT literate • Have a good knowledge of services Sense Scotland provide • An understanding of Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and care standards within Scotland For more information please visit the Sense Scotland website and download a full copy of the job description for each role.
