Support children with autism and other associated complex difficulties within a residential care setting, making a real difference to their lives. If this is of interest please read on and hit apply now Residential Support Worker Role: You will be supporting the young people with all aspects of their lives, including promoting their independence, social and life skills, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for the young people and staff. The role will include liaising with external agencies, family members and report writing. Applicant Criteria: You will have previous relevant social care experience and be an excellent communicator and have strong interpersonal skills. You will be keen to progress and develop the lives of vulnerable young people and have strong de-escalation skills, with a calm and composed nature int eh face of challenging behaviours. You must also be able to work the following shifts: - Early's include 7am-10am/12 midday, or longer 7am-2pm shifts - Late's include 2pm/4pm-8pm/10pm shifts - Occasional Sleep Ins as required Sound good?
