A highly successful and award-winning PR and social media consultancy in the heart of Manchester is looking for an experienced and talented consumer-focused PR Account Executive to enhance their award-winning team. The role This highly successful agency works with a number of iconic brands across numerous sectors from leisure and retail to food and drink. As PR Account Executive, you will be assisting your Account Manager with day-to-day client management, and your duties will be many and varied, but will include: Generation of pro-active and reactive news stories, demonstrating a good commercial knowledge of relevant media and client industries; developing excellent client relationships; taking accurate briefs from clients and developing plans; writing press releases, features, and various kinds of copy; assisting at press conferences; and running the day-to-day social media for clients across relative platforms. What we're looking for We're looking for someone with a real passion for consumer-focused communications and at least 12 months agency or in-house experience. You'll have a natural aptitude for creating engaging content, coupled with a strong understanding of how to distribute it effectively across traditional, digital, and social media to create real impact. You'll need a wise head for social media management - reacting to topical conversations on behalf of brands, and starting new ones as well as experience in producing a variety of different kinds of content. A good understanding of all types of media/stakeholder touchpoints and how to integrate and target them is helpful as well as an eagerness to build genuine media relationships across national, sector and regional media. You'll also be someone that will immerse themselves in your clients' brands and markets & be glued to the news and social trends - with the knowledge, confidence, and expertise to react when relevant for clients.
