Overview
Are you currently a Senior PA/EA that is also involved in management looking to step up and take on more responsibility? We are currently recruiting for a client who would like to give you that chance up to £45,000. The main part of the role is the PA element. The job-holder will be a Group Leader and two Senior Partners. The successful candidate will be dealing with confidential firm/staff Management Board matters. Spanish language skills would be advantageous in this position. The Team Leader part of the role reports to HR. There are 4 other PAs on the floor, some working on a part-time/job-share basis, and one Team Administrator. It is really important to be an excellent role model in this position, they are looking for someone to support and mentor the department. Personal assistant element: To take an active interest in and obtain a thorough understanding of all aspects of client requirements to provide exceptional service levels to both lawyers and clients, and act as workflow manager for other support services, including delegating the completion of document production, file management and copying/scanning work. The PA has responsibility to ensure that his/her skill set is up-to-date, and that he/she is familiar with the firm's groups, departments, key personnel, clients, internal systems and procedures. In addition: · Two years' previous experience in a law firm. · Accurate typing speed of at least 60 words per minute. · Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, research tools and other systems implemented by the firm. · Excellent customer service skills, dealing with people and tasks in a professional, polite and considerate manner. · Excellent telephone manner and competent knowledge of telephone system. · Excellent communication, organisational and team skills. · Excellent attention to detail. · Flexible and dependable, able to take the initiative. · Able to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines. · Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic. · Able to build confidence, respect and trust with others quickly. · Have a positive approach to daily tasks and have a solutions-focussed working method. · Flexible with regard to working hours, arriving earlier and staying later when the job or business requires. Team Leader element: To assume responsibility for management of the day-to-day operations and associated workflows within allocated legal departments to ensure that the fee earners are supported exceptionally well in a firm that actively strives to be the best in industry. In addition to the Personal Assistant: · Previous supervisory experience ideal. · Experience of client service/professional services environment. · Professional demeanour. · Excellent interpersonal skills. · Excellent performance management style. · Ability to lead by example. · Strong customer focus. · Experience of building and maintaining client relationships. · Flexible and proactive approach, with a "can do" attitude.
