Athena Care are on the hunt for warm and kind people like you to join our amazing team of live in care assistants. You will be supporting one of our clients in her home in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire (LE12). Qualities we are looking for are enthusiasm, patience, and someone with good communication and organisation skills. This is an ongoing long-term placement. The role is to support a lady with an Acquired Brain Injury in her own home, whilst promoting dignity and independence. This position is Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 5pm. Previous experience in supporting clients with Acquired Brain Injury and non verbal communication will help staff within this role due to the clients needs. Also having previous experience with challenging behaviour will also be an asset to this role. Car drivers are desirable but not essential, if you are no local you must ensure that you are able to get to and from shift of your own accord. Job role and duties will include Manual handling Medication Personal care Nutrition/Cooking Communication and Record keeping Domestic duties Assisting to attend social activities/ appointments So, what are we looking for?
