Overview

Group Finance Controller £75,000 per annum London The Opportunity: An acquisitive, private equity-backed service provider is seeking a Finance Controller to support a period of organic and inorganic growth. With excellent exposure to the board and senior stakeholders, this is a great opportunity for a proven FC to improve processes, controls and systems, also supporting the integration of acquisitions. The Role: Supporting the CFO and Board in developing a robust financial reporting and control environment Developing, implementing and maintaining reporting systems to deliver timely and accurate financial information Working with key stakeholders to review and adapt the financial processes Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior management and board members. Ensure consistency and improve the reporting of management information/accounts Key Responsibilities: Primary contact for the auditors in producing audit deliverables including draft statutory accounts and tax schedules Management of the year-end audit including: Drafting annual statutory accounts for the group in accordance with the correct technical accounting standards. Production of support for and finalisation of the tax computations. Preparation of technical accounting requirements for the group including acquisition accounting and intercompany transactions. Being the technical accounting expert for the group ensuring all group companies are in line with technical accounting standards. Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT returns and monthly PAYE returns to HMRC, and relevant payments are made. Monthly preparation and processing of all Group company payrolls Monitoring and maintaining controls and ensuring the financial integrity of the system data and financial controls. Drive the integration of acquisitions into the core financial reporting function and oversea the implementation of the financial system. Success Criteria: Ensuring consistent clean audit reports for each annual audit. Ensuring that the business adopts a financial and controls approach to maintain high delivery standards. Work with key stakeholders to build a business that consistently meets a high level of robustness and an ultimate effective exit due diligence process. Key Requirements: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) Works effectively under pressure and take responsibility for delivering to timescales People management experience required Proven ability to challenge the current processes and recommend improvements
