Lead MRI Radiographer – Oxford Consult Search & Selection are proud to be working in close partnership with a highly innovative, private healthcare provider in their search for a Lead Diagnostic Radiographer in Oxford. The primary purpose of the role is to lead the radiotherapy service at the treatment centre so that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and the reputation of the organisation for exceptional service and outcomes is maintained at all times. To lead the clinical and non-clinical team in all aspects of the radiotherapy process thus supporting all patients receiving external beam radiotherapy in the centre support the pathway. Key Responsibilities · Liaising closely with the multi-disciplinary team. · Follow all duties as a health and care professions council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance and ethics). · Follow all health and care professions council (HCPC) standards of proficiency. · Provide leadership and effective performance management for all radiotherapy staff. · Create the right environment for all radiotherapy staff to work effectively together as a team. · Ensure that the radiotherapy section of the unit has the staff and resources it needs to operate effectively and safely. Essential requirements: · DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent) · HCPC registration · Significant UK experience in MRI · Experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment and treatment · Able to act as a trainer and mentor for staff being managed · Knowledge of report writing. A range of radiotherapy clinical skills · Sound understanding of governance · Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems · Experience of proactively evolving radiotherapy techniques · Registration with the UK Healthcare Professions Council HCPC) & Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy Specialism Fantastic, highly competitive salary on offer with comprehensive benefits package.
