My client is a hugely successful, market leading organisation. A key element of their exciting plans for the future is the recruitment of a talented Sales Engineer to join their North West based team. To develop and implement a long term effective and profitable sales plan to increase market share and generate sales leads for new business within the fields of electrical maintenance and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities & Accountability Develop and review sales plan in line with business needs Responsibility for allocated Key Accounts Efficient coordination of ‘national accounts’ sales activity Increase sales within existing customer base Identify and develop sales in new sectors Compile and present sales reports Develop and submit detailed tenders for specified works Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes The successful applicant will possess:- Experience of critically assessing sales process and structures to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose An electrical background and indepth knowledge of the industry Understanding of statutory electrical compliance A successful track record in sales Excellent interpersonal skills Logical, analytical and strategic approach to sales Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Self motivated, results focused Proven record of achieving personal targets Personal Attributes Business Awareness: The ability to understand the business implications of decisions and the ability to strive to improve operational performance. Awareness of business issues, processes and outcomes as they impact the client’s and the organisation’s business needs Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals. Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.
