Graduate Engineer or Technician required with a Civil, Structural, Geophysics, Geotechnical or Earth Science background. Working on site you will be involved in building site investigation and geophysical testing services on a range of historical and modern projects. Due to a strong work and recent contract wins we are now looking to recruit a team of Graduate Engineers and Technicians to undertake structural testing and site investigation work. You will be providing bespoke investigation, analysis, and consultancy services on a wide range of historical, modern building projects and other structures across the UK and Internationally. This is an exciting opportunity for either an Engineering graduate or an HNC/D level candidate with a background in civil and structural engineering, the built environment, geo-environmental or construction. You will be involved with structural building surveys, using radar, thermal imaging, photo imaging, laser surveying and non-destructive testing. In due course the role would include some data presentation, basic report writing and use of AutoCAD. Training will be provided in the use of the material sampling equipment, site practices and data collection. You we need to live locally enough to Cambridge, so you can work from the office on non-site weeks and be willing to travel to site as required by the client’s needs typically for a 1 or 2 week period, reporting back to the office. Working as part of an investigation team, you will need a practical background, an interest in problem solving, a willingness to work in a site environment. A full UK driving licence is essential. Previous experience in site investigation or geophysical testing or building maintenance would be beneficial. We are particularly interested in self-motivated people with degree or HNC/D qualifications in civil, structural or environmental engineering, earth sciences, geophysics, or geotechnics. The salary will reflect your relevant experience as an Engineer or Technician. Transport expenses, accommodation and food allowances will be paid for site work as required.
