Overview
Our major international client is looking to recruit on a permanent basis, a Mechanical Design Engineer to their expanding team. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be required to work within an ISO 9001 environment and carry out all aspects of design for manufacture of the company's mechanical products. Mechanical Design Engineer - Main roles & responsibilities Work to ISO 9001 standards as relating to product design project work and order processing Adept use of 3D CAD systems (NX or Inventor) Design for manufacture and assembly protocols. (D4M) Produce 3D part models & assemblies & detailed 2D component & assembly drawings to standards. FEA and FMEA analysis. Performance & Safety Calculations Project manage NPD as well as existing products and one-off projects. Value Analysis/ Value Engineering (VAVE) for cost-effective solutions and designs. Create specifications, technical reports/documentation as required. Produce BOM's Identify & implement CI within design practises Mechanical Design Engineer - Experience Relevant, commercial mechanical design experience within a 3D CAD environment. Application experience of FEA software preferred. Engineering experience related to rotating machinery / industrial machinery preferred Mechanical Design Engineer - Ideally in addition to the above experience you will be educated to a minimum of HNC / HND level in a relevant mechanical/engineering/design discipline, however candidates with excellent career history and training will also be considered. 3D CAD package experience is essential Mechanical Design Engineer , Design Engineer - Please apply ASAP This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89714490
