ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Bedfordshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client works within the manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Bedfordshire area. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering ideally (HNC/ HND may be considered) 4 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar design role within a manufacturing environment Be proficient with using ideally Siemens NX / Inventor software or similar for design Experience related to rotating machinery / equipment preferred Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles like FEA Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team Have good communication skills both verbal and written Be prepared to be hands on within projects and be flexible to achieve deadlines The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Designing products and systems using NX & Inventor software Working within design for manufacture Providing calculations for FEA and FMEA analysis Project managing new product development Also working with existing products and one-off projects Producing detailed material specifications and documentation (BOM’s) Participating in Continuous Improvement activities Working within an ISO 9001 environment If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
