Overview
IT Administrator Temporary (3 months) £14.00 - £15.00 per hour plus holiday pay Milton Keynes Our client requires some additional IT support whilst their existing support team is deployed on a specific company project. The role will require you to deal with day to day IT issues handling the helpdesk management system, resolving queries, setting up new starters, configuring hardware, installing software and so on. Our client does have offices spread across multi sites, so being a car driver is preferable. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Configure and install Servers, PCs, Software and Network equipment in a timely manner Respond to client and user queries using helpdesk ticketing system Resolve any hardware or software issues in a timely manner Resolve software license issues Maintain an accurate log of all problems encountered Undertake system administration duties Helping to develop and maintain existing databases Checking IT security, virus software and backups Support develop and improve the IT policies and procedures Ensure conveyance of technical detail to a range of audience We are looking for someone with: A relevant IT qualification Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner Confident working in a customer facing environment Ability to carry out specific tasks with minimum of supervision Sound knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 7, and Server 2003 / 2008 Some TCP/IP experience Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration Hands on' flexible approach with a willingness to learn Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation applicable to role The ability to lift and carry IT equipment safely with good manual handling techniques Have own transport and able to travel to other sites If you feel you have what it takes, please apply today because we'd love to hear from you Role advertised: 16 March 2020 WE WOULD PREFER YOUR CV IN WORD FORMAT Ascendant Recruitment is one of Milton Keynes and Northampton's leading recruitment companies, with PA/Administration, Customer Service, Human Resources, Finance and Temporary divisions.
