Overview
Are you currently a mechanical or machine fitter and/ or builder looking for new and exciting machines and projects to get stuck in to? look no further. My client are a leading automation and materials handling solutions provider based in Nottingham, and are looking to expand their mechanical department. Essential Functions: To work as part of a team of engineers, assembling and developing machines in accordance with prescribed specification, instructions, designs and make modifications and enhancements to existing machines. To carry out development work on the machines as part of an engineering team to create the agreed solution. Must be a multi-skilled, trained mechanical engineer. Duties and Responsibilities Undertake the assembling and developing of machines to drawing. To work as needed in machine shop on lathes, grinding and milling machines and produce parts accurately to engineering drawings as required. Working as part of a team individually both in the factory and at customer's sites to assemble and develop machines and engineering solutions in the UK and worldwide. Commissioning of machines, machine performance testing, factory acceptance and site acceptance. Learn and observe relevant procedures associated with the company's quality systems. Observe and adhere to company policies in respect of health and safety, The Health and Safety at Work Act and the COSHH regulations. To carry out maintenance and service on installations worldwide.
