Overview
This powerhouse global insurer seeks to expand its Specialist Claims Team with the addition of an experienced Medical Malpractice Claims Handler and a Professional Indemnity Claims Handler, to work from its bespoke offices in North Yorkshire. In these roles, you will be responsible for handling either a complex caseload of Professional Indemnity files or Clinical Negligence. As you will be part of a market leading team, you will deliver the highest standards and focus on the customer experience. These files will be dealt with from first intimation through to conclusion, where you will triage claims accurately and determine liability and indemnity on each claim. Typically, these claims will be high value, so you will need to ensure that reserves are realistic and that cases are brought to a successful conclusion as efficiently as possible. In addition, you will build effective working relationships with stakeholders and provide detailed MI when required. As these are specialist roles, we can consider applications from a variety of backgrounds if you are experienced in either Medical Malpractice/Clinical Negligence or Professional Indemnity. You will be considered if you are a qualified Solicitor, have a Law Degree or are qualified by experience only. Whilst the work is defendant, those from claimant backgrounds will also be considered.
