Overview
We are currently dealing with a major Engineering Consultancy based in Manchester who are looking to recruit a Senior CAD Technician, specifically using MicroStation working on Rail Civils project. As the Senior MicroStation Technician you will lead CAD Technicians and Apprentices in the efficient and effective delivery of Rail Civils and Structures projects, working with Engineers to ensure the needs of the Client and the business are met. Within the position you will lead Computer Aided Design (CAD) teams as directed, ensuring Client commitments are met whilst undertaking the duties of designer as highlighted in CDM legislation. Your will work on a range of Rail Civils and Ancillary Structures schemes which can include working on such projects as Gatwick Station or the Transpennie Upgrade amongst others. This could be well suited to a CAD or MicroStation Technician looking to make that next step up. As mentioned, this role would be based in Manchester, but also has the ability to be located in York as well. Job Requirements High level of ability in MicroStation CAD systems relevant to the teams work and able to give comprehensive guidance to others.Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.Experience of civil engineering design principles and standards.Experience of using data management systems.
