Overview
We're looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company. In this role you will be responsible for a team of 5 Engineers in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for appraisals, disciplinaries, training, as well as managing the Engineering budget. The company are moving into a purpose built manufacturing facility in September 2020, and you will be involved in the planning and commissioning stages of this, whilst also taking control of the transition of the Engineering function from the old site to new. You will also be heavily involved in project based work to ensure new machinery is running at optimum efficiency. The successful candidate will have previous Engineering/Maintenance Management experience ideally within a food or FMCG, although all manufacturing environments will be considered. The role will firstly be based at the existing side and will involve managing the team there, throughout 2020 you will be involved in the commissioning of a brand new, highly automated facility, so candidates will ideally have an understanding of PLCs and SCADA.
