Overview

I am excited to be working for a specialist business based in Newmarket. This business currently has an opening for multiple Planners/Schedulers on a Temporary to Permanent basis. PLEASE NOTE - you must be immediately available to be considered for these positions at this stage Due to continued planned changes and expansion they are now seeking further experienced professionals to join their team in their Newmarket based satellite office where they run a team of over 150 engineers across the South of the UK. This position requires a forward thinking, motivated and driven individual, who is required to plan, dispatch and manage installations, working closely with field engineers to ensure completion. The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced ever changing working environment with multiple priorities and targets. Duties will include: Planning •Planning the efficient allocation of installations, assigning to the relevant engineers within designated regional / client areas on our specialist in house software (full training given) •Working with Team Leader to ensure enough jobs are being planned and capacity is fully utilized •Ensuring engineers' schedules are full, efficient and achievable and driving is kept to a minimum •Ensuring engineers are aware of their daily schedules by dispatching their work, and that everything is in place to ensure job completion •Investigating jobs for any specific requirements, previous issues and communicating to the team to ensure job completion •Re-planning any jobs that the company no longer has capacity for and update the customers on the changes •Re-planning any jobs impacted by pre-booked holidays or notified sickness and update the customers on the changes Dispatch / On Day Jeopardy •Ensuring the effective on day coordination of engineers to achieve maximum output. Manage issues such as unexpected absence, emergencies, workloads and escalating any issues to ensure maximum output •Re-planning any jobs impacted by on the day sickness, emergencies, breakdown or other issues and update the customers on the changes •Ensuring engineers have departed for their jobs and checking live tracker where required •Checking throughout the day that engineers are on target to achieve their daily schedule •Effectively dealing with any scheduling issues •Closing any jobs throughout the day to ensure all jobs are either completed or aborted •Escalating any issues to the operations manager to achieve job completion •Investigate all aborted jobs to ensure they are genuine, liaising with the customer to ensure jobs are rescheduled for a convenient date •Managing the regional on the day emergency call outs and priority work within SLA'S, managing customer expectations Person Specification: •Experience in planning and/or dispatch Desirable •Previous Customer Service/Administration Experience Desirable •Efficient and concise communication skills •Natural ability to problem solve •Positive, upbeat and resilient attitude Additional Information: •Living wage employer - Salary: £18,720 with annual reviews •Your core working hours would be Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30pm with 30mins lunch •Overtime options available working out of hours and weekends •Parking available on site •Perks at Work package (cinema and store discounts etc.) •Employee Assistance Programme •25 days holiday 8 bank holidays •Additional holiday purchase scheme •Refer a friend scheme - £500 (terms and conditions apply) •Weekly fruit boxes in the office •Employment type temporary with potential for permanent applications will be considered for these vacancies If you are interested in being considered for this vacancy, please send your CV to Paige today or get in touch to discuss further.
