They see challenges as opportunities. And they’re always ready for change. About the role In this role, you will play a pivotal role along with Senior Product Manager Apps for Rentalcars.com. You will help shape the native apps strategy across various channels (including mobile, tablet, chat/voice solutions) for the Rentalcars.com brand. Based from our Manchester office, you will work closely with two product teams focussed on Rentalcars.com apps We’re amidst a new phase of development to advance our product and technology including a major re platforming of our service capabilities and we have ambitions to redefine our consumer facing apps as part of this exciting project. It’s an exciting time and we are looking forward to shaping our app strategy with a product owner who can work closely with the team and wider stakeholders. You’ll need to work in an open, trusting and collaborative manner, helping the team to focus on getting the stuff that matters to our customers done quickly and to the highest standards. What You’ll Do Analyse: Define and analyse key metrics that will help measure success of product-driven initiatives for apps and more importantly help in planning product backlog and decision-making. Through measurement of the right metrics and the constant look out for sources to understand real feedback from our app customers we would expect you to develop a deep understanding of loyal app customers and develop a sense of what drives their decisions in car hire. Execute: Work with design, engineering, architecture and other relevant teams (content, marketing, legal, security, data science) to implement and build new product features that deliver great solutions to car hire customers including; Writing user stories and prioritizing the product backlog. Establish and test value-driven hypotheses through prototypes, pretotypes and A/B testing in quick increments Supporting and championing agile development practices. Strategise: Craft apps engagement and growth product roadmaps through interaction with cross-functional teams, data analysis, and collaboration with your line manager. Innovate: Think widely about car hire (traditional and upcoming models), mobility trends, collaborate & learn on what is shaping in the wider ground transportation focussed product teams with in BookingGo & travel experiences focussed teams in Booking and drive innovative app capabilities (big and small) which addresses unmet needs of our customers and helps delight them. You must have: 3 years of product management experience Experience with teams developing and releasing apps for iOS and Android apps with large scale engagement (apps with minimum of 1 million installs) Interest and passion to support user-centered design and have examples to share what you have done to bridge the gap between what team thinks that customer wants and actually customer wants and how much time you spend in understanding user behaviour in real world stepping out of your desk. Great with data - querying and visualising data. A passion for delivering outstanding consumer products. Excellent teamwork skills, communication skills and ability to interact and influence across diverse groups of technical and non-technical people at all levels. Superior attention to detail Desired: Experience in using machine learning to drive personalised experiences. Experience in shaping and driving digitisation of complex online-offline interactions via service design. Experience in increasing customer sign-ins and sign-ups. Marketplace / ecommerce experience.
