Overview
Gifford and Partners are currently working with a high growth business based in Leeds to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to oversee and lead a small team. This high-profile role is targeting a talented finance manager with exceptional reporting skills to deliver the groups reporting agenda. Make no mistake, this is an extremely diverse and challenging role that will be mentored and developed by an extremely experienced Head of Finance. Being part of the senior leadership team, this role will get direct exposure to the CFO and CEO. As part of this very well-respected and leading finance team, this role will pick up the following responsibilities along the way; Group reporting including year and month-end, quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting. Produce consolidated monthly management accounts Developing robust forecasting, budgeting and strategic reporting frameworks that will support the board and senior management team in the commercial decision making. Reviewing projects to look at areas such as investment appraisal and conduct financial analysis to better understand the organisational risks and opportunities This role will also play a key role in challenging forecasts and budget holders Essentially this role is targeting a high quartile qualified ACA/ACCA accountant who has a likely grounding within a top 10 professional accountancy practice. Previous exposure to technical accounting including UK GAAP, IFRS, consolidation would be a distinct advantage in this role. Due to the significant exposure this role is likely to see, it is also required to carry exceptional communication skills capable of presenting financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences.
