Overview

Head of Data & Insight I am pleased to be working with an exciting technology business to find a Head of Data & Insight to lead their data function from their London HQ Even in the current market conditions the business is still headed on a steep growth trajectory and this will see the Head of Data & Insight reporting into the CEO & with responsibility for the full data function including Data Operations, Data Engineering and Data Science. The Head of Data & Insight will work closely with the business to understand its current data environment, set the data evolution strategy for the next 5 years, devise achievable road maps and lead delivery. You will be walking into a fairly established business & they do have a foundation of data processes, governance, reporting systems etc in place and utilise tech such as the Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Data Flow, Cloud Composer etc), Looker for Data visualisation, Kafka & Spark streaming and some Predictive Analytics. This will see you further expanding their tech capabilities to help optimise & personalise the customer experience through their website and set Data Science as fundamental to every aspect of the business ensuring they become truly data driven in every aspect. You will take control of a data function of architects, engineers, data analysts, data scientists and will work to advance and future proof their current capabilities. This will include identifying & recruiting talent, ensure the necessary data platform infrastructure is in place and lead the deployment of innovative machine learning models to aid in real time decisioning etc. Requirements A proven track record in similar technical leadership level roles setting data analytics strategy, road maps & leading teams to successfully execute the plan Solid experience of building a solid data infrastructure/platform and implementing advanced analytical solutions that have been taken to production at scale A strong grounding in Cloud Platforms preferably the Google Cloud Platform & its components (BigQuery, DataFlow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub etc) Ability to demonstrate a solid background in predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics & machine learning, building & leading teams of data scientists & data engineers Technical understanding of a variety of Machine Learning & Statistical Model such as logistic regression, linear models, tree based models, boost models, SVM, naïve bayes, k nearest neighbours, etc Knowledge of implementing real time, near real time & batch processing with tech such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, Kinesis etc Experience with large data sets & distributed systems such as the Hadoop Ecosystem, Data Bricks etc Offer Salary of up to £120,000 bonus Pension Healthcare Travel Loan Gym Subsidy Vouchers/Discounts Cycle to Work Scheme And more… This is a great opportunity to join a growing, truly technology focused, data driven business providing a valuable service & market leading services to its customers.
