A global luxury brand is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team in London This is a unique internal consulting role, where you'll have the opportunity to see projects through to completion and the resulting positive impact on the business This company invests heavily in technology, and they are undergoing an exciting BI transformation that includes an extensive cloud migration. You'll have interesting project work normally associated with a consultancy, but with the stability and backing of an established organisation. You'll be working with Power BI, DAX, Azure, AI & Machine Learning. Your role: You will own the full development life-cycle, leading the design and delivery of analytics and data projects. Collaborating with other business functions, you'll help create and implement solutions that will empower wider business strategy and initiatives. Utilising products within Microsoft Azure and SQL Data analytics stack for various data projects Liaising with key stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, ensuring that data solutions meet identified needs Defining data solutions for new projects and engaging in the development and deployment of various BI tools Managing related workflows across different functions to ensure effective project delivery Proactively managing data quality, identifying issues and working with internal and external stakeholders for improvement Continuous learning and knowledge sharing around the latest developments in the BI field, suggesting innovative methods that can be adopted by the business Coaching and mentoring others in their personal and professional development About you: This will be a great fit for someone who is self-driven with exceptional problem solving skills and creativity in searching for solutions. You'll need to be comfortable leading and working under pressure, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work across various data sets with different goals Exceptional knowledge and practical experience of analytical concepts and data warehousing Experience defining and creating data models, and with data visualisation (PowerBI) Experience with ETL tools, data migrations, data management, and ensuring data integrity Comfortable with both the SQL Server BI Stack and Modern Data Warehousing on Azure Ability to coordinate with related teams to understand use cases Comfortable articulating and presenting solutions and high level concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments Practical understanding of DevOps If you're passionate and curious about data and technology, this is an incredible opportunity to get involved with exciting data initiatives If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply with your CV or get in touch for more information.
