Overview

Hours: 20 hours per week, 42 weeks per year Salary: £18,565 - £19,802 (FTE). Actual salary range £9,301 - £9,922 We are looking for a part time accounts clerk to join our small, friendly and busy finance department. This is a part time role working during term time plus an additional 3 weeks according to operational demands. You will need to work 20 hours a week over 5 days. Ideally, hours will be 9.30am - 1.30pm Monday - Friday. We are open to negotiation on the start and finish time as long as it is 4 hours a day. You must be enthusiastic with excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail and the confidence and initiative to make phone calls to suppliers and customers. Finance experience is desirable. We are a registered charitable trust comprising a special school, college and children's home for students age 5-19 with severe and complex social communication and learning disabilities. We also run two adult supported living homes. Students and staff visit the finance office so compassion and empathy for their needs of students, and professionalism when communicating with staff is important. Reporting to our Accounts Supervisor, you will take responsibility for cash control and purchasing including: Processing authorised online and other purchase orders Liaising with suppliers Assisting with petty cash preparation Handling accounts or financial queries from staff Ensuring administration associated with purchasing is up to date Why St Joseph's?
