Overview

Our client, a chain of Law Firms based in Portsmouth, are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to assist in their major development and acquisition of more firms. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible. Duties will include (but not limited to): Advising and supporting line managers on a full range of employee relations issues up to and including dismissal and appeal level, supporting in long term sick cases and corresponding with Occupational Health and making EIS referrals when necessary Managing all case work in line with organisational procedures, keeping records of activity in the HRIS, ensuring line managers fully document cases and action all elements of people management activity in relevant systems following HR processes and procedures Advising and supporting managers and employees on queries with terms and conditions, policies, procedures, pay and legislation Contributing to the development and implementation of new policies, procedures and guidelines taking the lead on specific activity as directed, including providing feedback on concerns with policies and procedures to allow for amendments to be recorded and updated Experience required: CIPD Level 5 or above (desirable but not essential) Minimum two years’ experience within the sector Background within TUPE work (desirable but not essential) Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Up-to-date knowledge of employment law Strong working knowledge of MS Office What next?
