Overview
We have an excellent opportunity for someone interested in Property to join a great Property management company as their Junior Project Manager As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing/coordinating both internal and external major works, internal/external refurbishment and projects on behalf of clients. You will be responsible for managing a project from pre-construction stage through to completion of the project. Key Responsibilities Progress highly important projects Carry out analysis by comparing contractors offers on all projects Carry out onsite inspections where necessary Resolving enquiries and issues when they arrise Liaision with leaseholders and with property management and surveying teams Liaise with the companies H&S Advisor to ensure all contractors have relevant insurance and documentation Arranging contractors to resolve repairs, maintenance and refurbishments Schedule safety inspections Keep up to date records of all projects through the major works master schedule Ensuring that company policies and procedures are consistently applied to required standards Required attributes Good communicator, both spoken and written. Able to speak to people at different levels (e.g. directors of blocks, builders, property managers) Not afraid of heights, as scaffold access is required Good competence with Excel, and use of other Office software Desired but not essential Manage others in refurbishment or new build for painting, roofing, masonry repairs and pointing. Experience of introducing new suppliers in building trades and getting quotations Experience of monitoring variations during works period, passing up the chain major ones, and agreeing minor ones Experience of valuations of works in progress using a bill of quantities Appreciation of CDM Regulations and their application Project management qualification (for example PRINCE 2 or APM) H&S training (NEBOSH / IOSH)
