JOB - Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION - Eynsham TERM - Permanent SALARY - £40,000 - £60,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience) My client – an innovative market leader is looking for an experienced and highly proficient Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Eynsham The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (MEng, BEng, BSc, HND, HNC, NVQ etc) A minimum of 4 years' industry experience in a Mechanical Design role. Confidence in the use of 3D CAD software; preferably SolidWorks, although others will be considered Background in highly detailed design, working to extremely tight tolerances History of working closely in manufacturing engineering in a high-tech environment. The desire to grow into an industry leading organisation, with a large international client base The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills The Mechanical Design Engineer’s duties will involve: Leading problem analsysis, and creating concepts / designs to provide solutions to new and existing products. Detailed Design working closely with manufacturing in a hands on capacity to deliver innovative products. Working with the production team on physical prototype testing. Periods of international travel. Working to strict deadlines.
