Our Liverpool based client is a leader in its industry sector and its service offering is available UK wide to both business and consumer customers. Due to growth and a requirement for additional legal support, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor to join the legal department as In-house Legal Counsel. Company Our Liverpool based client is a leading service provider of B2B and B2C services to companies and consumers. In recent years it has undergone both transformation and growth, which includes a company acquisition and the development of new brands and service offerings. Role - In-house Counsel Reporting into the head of an established legal team, the In-house Counsel will have responsibility for some of the company's largest, most complex, business critical and high-value customer and supplier contracts. Working alongside the Senior Commercial Solicitor and deputising when required, you will also advise on other high-profile contractual issues and disputes; provide general legal advice to the business across a range of topics - consumer law, data protection, IP and employment law; and help to develop legal policy, update standard terms and train internal stakeholders. About you Our client seeks to recruit a Commercial Solicitor / In-house Legal Counsel with circa 5-8 years' PQE. To be considered for this opportunity, you must by UK qualified, have significant experience in commercial law, a strong academic record and have gained your experience in a leading law firm or highly rated in-house team. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer looking to have a good level of autonomy in a role with the wider support of the Head of Legal.
