Lead Quality Cost Engineer
Overview
Description: This role works in collaboration with multiple departments to support the business to improve current manufacturing processes of new launches and basic business products. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement. Looking to engage all levels whilst identifying key challenges in existing manufacturing processes, and actively drives the implementation of new systems and working practices to improve process and product quality, and to support overall Cost of Quality (COQ) strategy. This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract. Responsibilities: Assist in identifying key challenges around bulk (mass) manufacturing and developing implementation plans to drive Bulk Right the First Time (RFT) and blocked stock reduction improvements. Previous experience mapping end to end processes and good understanding of non-value add and capacity modelling in order to improve inefficiencies from QC and QA Conduct analysis of data/KPIs to identify root causes/main drivers of bulk manufacturing failures, complete trend analysis to detect any commonalities/patterns, recommend appropriate actions and provide regular follow-ups. Utilize CI/Lean methodologies to actively participate in improvement initiatives that impact COQ program. Participate in teams/projects related to Deviation/OOS investigation, CAPA, cost reduction, and quality system excellence. Participate in project status reporting regarding metrics, performance, and progress under the directions of COQ Project Leads. Collect and conduct preliminary analysis in preparation for meeting with appropriate Management. Apply E3 concept (Engage, Enable, Empower) within project activities to ensure project sustainability with affected workforce, supervisors and leaders. Qualifications University Degree Previous manufacturing experience Knowledge in quality management systems, process improvement utilizing statistical problem-solving techniques, and quality tools LEAN certification/Six Sigma training or comparable preferred Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills Professional communication skills and proven leadership capabilities.
