Engineering Manager
Overview
Manpower's Engineering client is looking to recruit a Engineer Manager to join their team in Paisley. The engineering manager would be expected to take an overall view of all production activities and manage the engineering of parts and processes to ensure good quality parts, new part implementation, drive efficiency and implement relevant corrective actions to cut scrap and reject rates. The engineering manager is responsible for implementing training plans and work instructions to ensure good working practices across all machinery and will support our client manufacturing in the areas of process development, tooling improvements/ re-design and other duties associated with engineering support of production. Role requirements; Develop current processes to drive quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency Monitoring and improving machine efficiency with the use of WERMA software/cycle times/ tool planning and statistical process analysis. Develop and carry out ongoing training programme for CNC operators and setters Assist in the PPAP/IMDS/FMEA/Control Plans and tool sheets Lead engineering team through new product implementation Participate in capital project evaluations and procurement Help prepare customer quotations for potential new business Work closely with engineering and quality departments to implement corrective/preventative actions on final closeout of 8D's Implement and manage 5S projects throughout the factory Review SPC and VICI data and monitor for trends or non-conformance CNC programming when required Carryout any other tasks deemed necessary by management Oversees travel may be required.
