Overview

The Group HR Manager will head up and lead the HR function. This role will need to shape the vision and strategy within the people focus areas of the business, working for a fast paced and ever changing organisation. For this Group Human Resources Manager role they are looking to invest in a resilient and energetic HR professional who has previously looked after and developed an HR team, and be used to juggling a number of projects. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Manage the wider HR team based in Croydon to provide an environment of support and professional reference. Work closely with the leadership team to ensure the people vision is aligned with the business strategy driving high performance. Be able to lead on change management programs with a sound knowledge of current employment law, consultations and TUPE. Support the HR Business partners in providing timely, accurate HR advice to all employees and managers as required. Develop close relationships with our employee and management base in order to fully support their needs. Coach, mentor and advise key stakeholders and managers through all elements of the HR lifecycle. Proactively identify and follow up on complex ER (e.g. performance and sickness) issues as required. Key focus on supporting employee well-being initiatives and staff engagement programs. Improving recruitment strategies, driving talent acquisition to ensure high performing candidates are recruited and retained. Manage an outsourced payroll service, with overall responsibility for service and account management (managing 1 Payroll Officer). Essential Skills: Ideally CIPD part or fully qualified or qualified by experience. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong cross functional working relationships Sound knowledge of the working of payroll and pension & benefit programs Some exposure to working with trade unions Able to project manage to demanding timelines Previous experience of leading an HR Team Coaching and mentoring style, able to provide hands on support to the team Solid experience gained as an HR Generalist/HR Manager Sound working knowledge of up to date UK Employment Legislation, & TUPE This is initially a 12 months FTC but could be permanent.
