Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join our growing team in Shoreditch for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are looking for someone with experience in a junior HR Manager/ Senior Advisor role, who has had exposure to all elements within the HR function and looking for their next challenge. Scape have a current head count of 160 employees across 12 sites, however the company are opening new sites across the UK and Dublin with head count set to increase. Responsibilities · To take ownership of the HR function across the Scape brand. · To work closely with all senior stakeholders to offer sound advice and guidance, and leading employee relation matters when required · To manage and develop the HR Administrator, to ensure an efficient, effective and approachable HR team · Manage and ensure accurate HR processes and policies. (i.e. disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement process, absence management) and ensure correct documentation and meetings are carried out in a fair and timely manner in line with the company policies · To work closely with Head of Departments to ensure appropriate escalation of employee relation issues · Communicating and explaining the organisation's HR policies to all stakeholders within the business · To maintain absolute discretion at all times and dealing with sensitive matters appropriately. · Advising, resolving, and mediating grievances or queries that any of the employees have · Engaging with employees on a regular basis to understand the motivation levels of people in the organisation · Travel to all sites to ensure a HR presence and building rapport with employees and managers · Reward advice and supporting employees on company benefits · Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement · To lead training sessions and workshops for Managers across the business on leadership and HR matters · To over-see and manage company statutory training to ensure HR KPIs are met and in line training budgets · Learning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams · Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement · Reviewing job descriptions for all positions at regular intervals and updating them in consultation with the respective managers · Recruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns · To continuously review and update processes to ensure smooth and effective SOPs · To manage and carry out audits of all HR administration to ensure accuracy across all documents and data input on the HR system. · To oversee and manage the on-barding and off-boarding for all employees, reviewing and updating the process in line with the needs of the business. · To produce reports on turnover, absence, and employee data required for board reports and Manager meetings · Preparing and processing timely distribution of salary, bonus, full and final settlements · To over-see and manage the correct use of the HR system and rota system (PeopleHR and rota cloud) · Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement · Performance management: coaching managers on performance management issues and processes · Liaising with all government agencies to ensure adherence to compliance · Deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business · Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement · Learning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams · Training: Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement · To update and review all HR policies, procedures and processes in line with changes in legislation and in line with ACAS. · To lead and advise on redundancy processes when required · To manage and advise on TUPE process when required The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and training as requested by your line manager. Key Attributes: · Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles · Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member · Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals · Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team · Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture · Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development. · Have a CIPD or equivalent qualification · A professional and commercial approach to HR, with the ability to deliver high employee satisfaction, appropriate development and reward for individuals
