CTO - Software Development, eCommerce - Halton, Cheshire - Competitive package on offer including equity This is a newly formed role in an ambitious business offering a unique opportunity to have an impact from day 1 with sole responsibility for the management of all technology projects across the company. They are looking for an individual from a technical background with strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle. As the CTO (Software Development, eCommerce) you will need to give structure, organisation and effective management to technology across the business, ensuring it not only allows the company to scale but also gives them a competitive advantage. They need you to place technology at the forefront of everything they do, driving change and constant improvement. It will be important for you to be able to take a very much hands on approach to everything you do and draw on experience from similar previous roles including being comfortable managing people and projects. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following experience: Excellent understanding of multiple Project Management methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Prince2, Waterfall etc) Strong knowledge of software development and IT related business operations (full software development lifecycle, UX/UI, Front-End facing projects etc.) Experience of building cross platform applications with extensive web experience Ability to create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation Comfortable negotiating complex contracts and studying legal agreements High calibre strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior board members Experience working for an online and/or retail business If you have previous hands on development experience and / or AWS infrastructure experience this will be highly beneficial. You will either be a Technology Director or CTO who has previously excelled in a similar role or a highly driven IT Director who has proven experience working for a fast growth, online consumer business.
